In Windows Notepad, when you type, your mouse pointer has a thin line that flashes. You might have problems seeing the standard size mouse pointer on your screen. This could be because the PC is far away from you, or because you have poor eyesight. Whatever the reason , don’t worry about this little problem. It is possible to adjust the thickness of the mouse pointer.
Change the thickness of the mouse cursor using the registry:
Open the Run box using Windows+R. Type regedit and press Enter.
Navigate to the following key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Enter the value for CaretWidth.
Alternatively
Change the thickness of the mouse cursor using the vbe file:
Click on the download button at the end of this article.
Then double click on the Cursor.vbe file.
Type a value up to 20 in the space provided in the pop-up window. For example, I typed 18 and the cursor thickness became 18.
Double-click the Cursor.vbe file again to set it back to default. Type the value 1.
(If the changes did not affect your cursor immediately, restart the PC).
