When you open Command Prompt by default, it’s positioned randomly on the screen. Also, when you resize the Command Prompt window and close it, the setting is not retained the next time. If the default window size for Command Prompt doesn’t suit you, you can change it. There’s a built-in setting to do just that.
Steps To Set Default Window Size For Command Prompt On Windows
Right-click on the prompt boarder and select Properties…
Now select the Layout tab and change, make any width and height adjustments you want for Windows Size, and click/tap on OK to apply.
The width size you set under Window Size will also be applied to the width size under Screen Buffer Size.
You can now check the updated window size. That’s it,
