When you open Command Prompt by default, it’s positioned randomly on the screen. Also, when you resize the Command Prompt window and close it, the setting is not retained the next time. If the default window size for Command Prompt doesn’t suit you, you can change it. There’s a built-in setting to do just that.

Right-click on the prompt boarder and select Properties…
