How Show Or Hide The Taskbar Search Button on Windows 11
If you removed the search icon from Windows 11 taskbar by mistake or you can remove if you don’t need/use it.
The Search button on the taskbar allows you to quickly use Windows Search (Win+S) to search for apps. Unlike the classic search, Microsoft has improved search on Windows 11. Example hover over the search button on the taskbar, and it will show the latest three searches you have performed. Clicking on any, you can directly launch that application. The easiest way to remove or add the Search icon is to right-click on your Taskbar and click on Taskbar settings. Here is how to do it.
Add or Remove the Search Icon From the Windows 11 Taskbar
Click the start menu and open Settings. Or ( Right-click on your Taskbar and click on Taskbar settings.)
Click on Personalization on the left side. Then click “Taskbar settings”.
And flip the “Search” switch to “Off” or “On”.
Tips:
You can still search in Windows 11 at any time by pressing Windows+s on your keyboard to open search box.
Alternatively, you can simply click the Start button and begin typing.
Both of them does the same thing , as if the search button was clicked on the taskbar.
