How to Show Or Hide your number (caller ID) on your phone
You can prevent your number from appearing on a recipient’s phone or caller ID device when you place a call. Because, in order to protect their customers’ privacy, some network operators allow you to hide your number when making a call. If your carrier supports this feature, you want to hide your outgoing caller ID and block your number, here’s how to keep people from seeing who’s calling.
How do I hide my number when calling on Android?
Open Settings. Scroll down to “Apps” and tap on it. Then tap your “System app settings”.
Tap on Call settings and choose on Advanced settings.
On the Advanced settings screen, tap on Caller ID. Choose a SIM card (Dual SIM).
Tap on Caller ID and choose Hide number. If you want to override this and show your phone number , you need (choose tap on Network default, or Show number)
That’s it. Your phone number will no longer show up when making a phone call. But, before making any calls it is recommended that you test whether the Caller ID block is working by calling your other number or calling someone that you trust.
PS: If you can’t find an option to block your number or hide your caller ID in your phone’s settings, you need to block it directly with your cell carrier instead. Some carriers who don’t let you block your number in the device settings let you do so using their own app instead.
