Windows 11 show you Snap Assist that when hovering over the maximize button in File Explorer or other apps.
You no longer need to adjust the window size while doing multi tasks. In Windows 11, you can now access four predefined Windows snap layouts by hovering your mouse cursor over the maximize button in an open window, as shown below.
Click on any of the selected snapping and then drag it to the edge. areas will automatically resize and snap your window to that area. Alternatively, press and hold the Windows key and the Left or Right Arrow key to snap the last selected window to one side of the screen.Though its a great feature, there will be some users who simply want to avoid unnecessary confusion.
How to Disable Snap Layouts for Maximize Button in Windows 11
Open Settings and click on System. Then click on Multitasking.
On the right side, turn off uncheck the Show snap layouts when I hover over a window’s maximize button to disable the flyout pop-up.
Optional: Clear the Show snap layouts that the app is part of when I hover other taskbar buttons option.
After you complete the steps, the snapping suggestion will be instantly disabled for in Windows.
