In our previous article “Use Dark Mode and Dark Cell Style IN Microsoft Excel And Word“, we have introduced about customizing and saving cell styles.
However, you may find that if you open another workbook and want to use a dark style, you cannot find it. That is because the cell style
is stored in the workbook where you create it. Instead of creating the style again, you can also follow the steps below to import a cell style and apply the cell style in another workbook.
Using the Custom Style in Another Workbook
( You can watch the how to video which located at the end of the article)
Open the new workbook. But don’t close the workbook you’ve been working on. It must remain open for you to get the styles.
From the New workbook, choose Style from the Format menu and Click Merge Styles to import a cell style.
In the Merge Styles dialog box, click the workbook from which you want to import cell styles.
After you choose the workbook, click the “OK” button.
Thats All.
