This feature enables as to quickly transfer any URL from the desktop computer to a mobile device without actually to type it manually or without syncing the web browser accounts. A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional barcode) first designed in 1994 for the automotive industry in Japan. A barcode is a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached. This feature is new and is available starting with the Google Chrome version 88.

How to Find Google Chrome Version Number.

Click on the Menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Click on Help, and then About Google Chrome.

Generate QR codes for any URL in Google Chrome

The feature is currently only available on the desktop version. There are two ways to Generate QR codes for any URL :

Visit any website which you want to generate the QR code, in the Chrome browser.

Right click the web page and choose create QR Code for this page.

Or you can Click in the address bar where the website URL is displayed , a new QR code icon in the address-bar to the right will appear.

just click on it . It will immediately generate and display a QR code for that URL. you can manually edit or change the URL QR code in real-time

you can scan this code on your smartphone using any QR scanner app, There is an option to download the QR code on your computer which can be done by clicking on the Download button. It will save the generated QR code in form of a PNG image (with dimensions 370×370 pixels).You can also use your camera to scan a QR code from someone else’s phone.
