The notification area (also called the “system tray“) is located in the Windows Taskbar. Most programs put an icon in the system tray or notification area, located at the far right end of the task bar, for quick and easy access. In Windows 10, a lot of icons are hidden by default in an expandable pane, giving you more space on your taskbar. The notification icons on the Taskbar indicate which programs are currently open and running in the background. keep a particular icon always visible in the Notification area, or see nothing but the clock on your taskbar, this article shows you how to do it:
Show all or hide icons and notifications on the taskbar notification area:
Right-click on the Taskbar and select Taskbar Settings from the context menu or open settings, and click on the Personalization icon.
Click on Taskbar on the left side, and click on the Select which icons appear on the taskbar link under the Notification area section on the right.
in the next window, turn off the toggle button below “Always show all icons in the notification area.”
To view hidden icons at any time, click the arrow next to the notification are on your taskbar.
To Always keep all icons visible in the notification area
Turn on Always show all icons in the notification area at the top.
Notes: Keep in mind that the icons in your Notification area are only shown when their apps are running.
To reveal them, click on the arrow left of the Notification area.
