Add or Remove Copilot Button on Taskbar in Windows 11
Windows Copilot is a generative AI that you can use to perform various tasks. It can assist you with a gamut of things, from helping you search for things online and summarizing/analyzing text documents to changing your computer settings and even connecting with other apps installed on your PC. That said, many old-school users don’t like additional bloatware that has little or no utility for their daily use. You can remove the Copilot button on the taskbar if wanted.
Remove Copilot Button from Windows 11 Taskbar
Disable Copilot via Windows 11 Settings App. Open Settings. Click on Personalization on the left side, and click on Taskbar on the right side.
To disable the Windows Copilot, locate and select the ‘Copilot’ option, then click on the toggle switch to set it to the ‘Off’ position.
Alternative Method: Blocked Copilot Feature from Windows Taskbar
Just download the CoPilot_Blocker.rar file at the end of the page and Unzip it. ( Password: ceofix)
Then simply double-click on the CoPilot_Blocker.exe. User Account Control (UAC) window can popup and asks you if you want to allow it, Click Yes to proceed.
It will show a pop-up window with the text “Copilot Feature has been Blocked” just Click ok button.
To enable Copilot Feature again, all you have to do is double-click on the CoPilot_Blocker.exe file.
It will show a pop-up window with the text “Copilot Feature has been set to default” just Click ok button.
